Dan is allowed to haul off used cooking oil from a local eatery in Blacksville, WV for free. This oil is then used in a conversion process to separate it into biodiesel and glycerine. We are using biodiesel in our mowing and farm equipment not only to help our local environment but also to reduce our cost and reliance on fossil fuels. We're still learning all the little details to make better and better fuel
Dan has had a lot of help and so we share the credit for this venture with Sascha Werle who has been pursuing this idea for the last 4 years. He also helped us get the ball rolling financially, technically, and safely. Also, Valerie Werle and Elizabeth Snider deserve credit for putting up with Dan and Sascha's nasty, stinky, and disgusting obsession with used cooking oil.
